EnquireBook a fitting

Before your fitting

Bridal seamstress Brisbane the fit conversation comes first.

Your gown has its own fabric, seams and history. The fitting discussion should take those details into account. Explore common fit changes and prepare your questions. Then enquire about your own gown rather than rely on a size label or a stock promise.

An enquiry requests availability. The work, quote and appointment are confirmed separately.

At a glance

A clearer plan for your outfit.

A useful relationship with a fitter is built on a clear scope and an honest discussion of limits. Ask who will assess your gown, how changes are agreed and what must be brought to the appointment. Do not treat generated editorial photos as staff or client portraits.

01The starting point

Bring your own fit priorities.

Two people can wear the same label size and need different changes. Point out the areas that affect your comfort or confidence. A useful fitting conversation considers the whole outfit rather than choosing a standard adjustment before you have put the gown on.

02Fit & construction

Ask what the gown will allow.

A closer waist, longer sleeve or new back each raises a different question about the fabric and design. Ask for the options to be explained before a decision is made. No number of sizes or design result should be assumed from a photograph alone.

03The details

Editorial images are inspiration, not evidence.

A beautiful photograph cannot prove who carried out an alteration. The image note explains that these pictures are generated concepts. If you want to see relevant finished work or ask about the fitter’s experience, include that question in your enquiry.

Discuss your alterations

From the first pin

From enquiry to an agreed fitting plan.

Keep the dress, proposed work and dates together in the conversation. Confirm the next step before relying on an appointment.

Request fitting availability
  1. Explore your request

Use the service pages to understand the work you may want assessed. Keep technical fit questions separate from cleaning or other services.

  2. Send the useful details

Include your suburb, event date if known and the main fit concerns. A photo is optional and is not a substitute for assessing the gown.

  3. Confirm the next step

Ask who will assess the dress and confirm the appointment location, scope and quote before proceeding.

Before you visit

Prepare the details for your enquiry.

Use the list to explain the request and prepare for a separately confirmed appointment.

  • The gown and any separate pieces
  • The shoes and undergarments you plan to wear
  • Your fit priorities and details to retain
  • Questions about the person assessing the dress

A few things to know

A few questions before you enquire.

These answers explain the process and limits. Details for your own outfit must be confirmed after assessment.

Who will assess my gown?

Ask for the name and role of the person handling your confirmed appointment. Ask about experience that relates to your fabric, fit concerns and proposed changes.

Are the site images real client results?

No. They are generated editorial concepts. They are not proof of completed work, staff identities or studio premises.

Can I ask about a gown from another boutique?

Yes. Explain where it came from, its fit concerns and any earlier work. The gown still needs assessment before changes are agreed.

Where can I read about the fitting process?

The fitting process page explains the stages to discuss and what to bring. A set number of visits is not assumed for every gown.
